Typical Search Assignment Example
Project Director – Major Highways – Salary circa £140,000.
The assignment is split into four main elements:
- (PT1) Assignment Briefing
- (PT2) Research / Assessment
- (PT3) Face-to-Face Interviews
- (PT4) Placement
Example fixed fee estimate:
- 1 working day for meeting / agreeing the Assignment Brief
- 5 working days for Research / Assessment
- 2 days for Face-to-Face Interviews
- £1,500 Placement Fee
The total cost for a comparable new PD search would therefore be transparent from the outset, with only agreed travelling expenses added.
Fees & Charges
I work only on a retained basis, so that finding the right person is always the focus of my efforts — not a success-only fee.
My fees are time-based and represent extremely good value for the work I complete.
Assignments usually consist of four main elements: Assignment Briefing, Research/Assessment, Face-to-Face Interviews and Placement.
I am on-hand throughout the entire process, I do not stop searching until the right candidate is secured and there is nothing extra to pay, as my estimate is an agreed fixed cost to complete the assignment.
Current working rate: £750 per day.

I stand behind every placement I make. If one of my successful candidates leaves your business within 12 months — other than through redundancy — I will replace them at no further cost to you.
